June’s flower, the rose, has been a symbol of love since ancient Greece, where it was associated with Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. And of course, who can forget that reminder from Shakespeare that “A rose by any other name, would smell as sweet.”
Created on a 8″x8″ wood panel, this one of a kind artwork was handmade by Alecia Miller through a process of layering in the background and utilizing the transparency of the paints to achieve the light and airy feel of the final painting.
The artwork has been sealed with a protective varnish and is mounted in a black wood frame, ready to display in your home.
Artwork from this series will ship priority mail in the continental United States with a flat shipping/handling rate of $10.
