January’s birth flower, the red carnation, represents love and affection, with the deeper the color, the stronger the emotion. Red carnations are also the state flower of Ohio, chosen as a remembrance to Governor McKinley (who later became U.S. President) as he often wore a red carnation on his lapel.
Created on a 8″x8″ wood panel, this one of a kind artwork was handmade by Alecia Miller through a process of layering in the background and utilizing the transparency of the paints to achieve the light and airy feel of the final painting.
The artwork has been sealed with a protective varnish and is mounted in a black wood frame, ready to display in your home.
Artwork from this series will ship priority mail in the continental United States with a flat shipping/handling rate of $10.
